Queenslanders Can’t Live Without - Terms and Conditions of Entry

By entering the “QUEENSLANDERS CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT” Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 

1. STANDARD TERMS 

1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. 

1.2 By entering the competition, you’re agreeing to share your details including first name and email address with QFF.

2. PRIVACY

2.1  Under the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth), the promoter must notify entrants of certain matters when it collects personal information about them including how it plans to use or disclose it.  If an entrant chooses to enter or take part in the competition, the entrant will be required to provide the promoter with personal information about themselves such as the entrant’s name and email address.

2.2  The Promoter will collect, use and disclose the personal information which the entrant has provided for carrying out the competition (including in general for notification and promotion of prizes).

2.3  By entering the Competition, the entrant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his or her personal information in the manner outlined in these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

2.4  If an entrant would prefer that the promoter does not use or disclose the entrant’s personal information in the way outlined in these Terms and Conditions of Entry and/or retain their personal information for the purposes described herein, the entrant should contact the promoter on 07 3837 4720.

2.5  An entrant has the right to access, in most circumstances, personal information which the promoter holds about the entrant.  An entrant may contact the promoter on 07 3837 4720 to ask for access to the entrant’s personal information, or if the entrant has a complaint concerning an entrant’s information privacy.  The promoter may deny the participant’s request for access in some circumstances.  If the promoter does this, it will tell the entrant why.

2.6  The promoter's Privacy Policy contains further information on its processes in relation to access to and correction of personal information, about how an entrant may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how the promoter will deal with such a complaint.  You can view QFF’s Privacy Policy here.

2.7  If an entrant considers that any personal information that the promoter holds about the entrant is inaccurate or if at any time the entrant’s details change, the entrant may contact the promoter on 07 3837 4720 and the promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that such personal information is corrected.  The promoter will take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure from misuse, interference, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

3. WHO CAN ENTER? 

3.1 Entry is open to all individuals who:

·       are aged over the age of 18,

·       reside in Queensland, and

·       agree to the terms and conditions of entry. 

4. HOW TO ENTER

4.1 The competition commences on 1 November 2024 AEST at 12:01am and concludes on Saturday, 30 November 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.  

4.2 In order to enter, entrants must fill out the entry form at www.cantlivewithout.com.au and agree to the terms and conditions of entry. In filling out the form, entrants must provide one (1) of the below to be eligible:

·       A photo and a short explanation (25 words or less) explaining what agricultural or food item the participant can’t live without.  

·       A 10-15 second video explaining what agricultural or food item the participant can’t live without.

4.3 There is only one entry allowed per person.

4.4 Entries must be submitted by Saturday, 30 November 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.

4.5 All entries will go in the running to win the prize with the winner to be selected via random draw.

5. PRIZES 

5.1 There will be one (1) prize draw and one (1) winner. The winner will receive one prize package, as set out below. 

5.2 The prize consists of: 

  • Two-nights of weekend accommodation in one of Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages for two people. Subject to availability and valid for 2 years.

  • 1 x large breakfast pack to enjoy during your stay.

  • 1 x bottle of wine.

  • 1 x antipasto platter.

Please note: The prize does not include travel to the venue.

5.3 The winner will be chosen by random draw on Monday, 2 December 2024. The winner will be notified by email on Monday, 2 December 2024. Once claimed, the prize will be sent to the winner’s nominated email address on Tuesday, 17 December 2024.  

5.4 The promoter may, but is not obliged to, publish the results of the competition.  By participating in the competition, the winner gives their consent for their personal details to be published on the promoter’s website if they are the recipient of the prize.

6. HOW TO WIN 

6.1 There will be one (1) winner chosen from the total pool of entries received, chosen on Monday, 2 December 2024. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the duration of the competition and registered all details required will be eligible. The winner will be chosen subject to the criteria set out in clause 4.2. 

6.2 The winner will have 14 days to claim the prize by replying to the promoter’s email. If not claimed within 14 days, a re-draw will occur. The winner of the re-draw will then have 14 days to claim the prize, or another re-draw will occur.

6.3 The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result. 

 7. PROMOTER’S DETAILS

8.  Other General Terms

8.1  All competition entries are the property of the promoter.

8.2  The promoter shall not be liable (including, without limitation, in negligence) for:

(a)           any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss); or

(b)           any personal injury suffered or sustained,

during the course of participating in this competition or using the prize, except for and to the extent that any liability cannot be excluded by law.

8.3  Each entrant indemnifies and keeps indemnified the promoter against all claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses suffered or incurred by the promoter or any third parties arising out of the breach of these Terms and Conditions of Entry by the entrant, the conduct of the entrant in the competition or the use of the prize by the participant.

8.4  If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority (if any) to:

(a)           disqualify any entrant; and/or

(b)           modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition as appropriate.
